The Public Service Commission PSC on 4th December, 2022 embarked on the second phase of training for Mentors and Coaches in the Ministries, State Departments and Agencies (MDAs) under the Public Service Internship Program (PSIP).
PSC Chairman, Amb. Anthony Muchiri in a speech delivered by Commissioner Dr. Mary Mwiandi, said that coaching and mentorship are beneficial to the internship programme since they enable interns to develop professional skills and competencies.
The 2nd phase, which is segmented into four sessions, targets to train 450 mentors and coaches. Also present were Director, Dr. Sylvester Obong’o, Deputy Directors Browne Kutswa, Nelson Njue, Wesley Kipng’etich and Simon Mwangi.
PSC Kenya is an independent government commission established under Article 233(1) of the Constitution of Kenya to manage human resources in the Kenya Civil Service and the Local Authorities.
It investigates, monitors and evaluates the organization, administration and personnel practices of the public service and Ensure that the public service is efficient and effective.
