On 4th May 2021 a Wednesday morning, a male student stabbed his female colleague to death at a school in Kericho County, alarming students and the local people. The victim was stabbed repeatedly in the left side of her chest before 8 a.m. at Keben Secondary School in Belgut.
Mr Ezekiel Kuche Onyango, the Belgut sub-county police commander said that they have arrested the murderer who is in custody at the Sosiot police station. The cause of the attack has not been determined, but the matter is being investigated. According to Mr. Onyango, a detailed declaration will be given later.
It was unclear how the student got the knife into the classroom or whether the two had previous disagreements that prompted the attack. The girl was realized in a pool of blood and was rushed to Sound Sigowet Sub-County Hospital, where she was declared dead. According to police, the body was taken to the Kericho County Hospital morgue.
