Kenyans in every realm were not left behind and even the deputy president William Ruto was heard mentioning the term during his campaign. 'Sipangwingwi' literally means, no one plans for me or no one can finesse me.

However, a teacher at Tenwek Boarding Primary School (Bomet), Madam Janet Rono has rubbished this word that has become a darling of every Kenyan's mouth. Madam Janet said the word is 'A spirit of rebellion and a curse to the nation.'

In her argument, it is a pronouncement of a spirit of rebellion and curse being installed in our thought pattern and psych by the devil without our knowledge as we travel around the country instilling the same to our youth.

She urged parents not to be surprised when they ask their children to do something and they respond with 'Sipangwingwi' and refuse to obey.

She also challenged teachers with the same question, what if their students refuse to obey their orders and respond to the same term in unison.

She said the national strikes and school burning could be related to behavior. She added that the term should be forbidden I schools because it is indiscipline in nature. She said the term is more dangerous than tribal clashes.
