Teachers Service Commission has come out to clarify on the viral information that has taken rounds in media. The information connotes reappontment of a new TSC CEO. There by deeming to replace the tough talking Dr. Nancy Macharia whose contribution in the teachers employer is of no doubt, a great one.
The teachers Service Commission has come out clear that Dr. Mulunda has not been appointed. The teachers employer warned the general public to ignore such rumours as no changes yet in the commission's top seat. This came after other grapevines were also spread that Dr. Nancy Macharia can be reappointed.
Dr. Nancy Macharia's term ends on 30th June, 5 years after her appointment by the president back in 2015. Nancy has brought tremendous changes in the body including ending of strikes that oftenly disrupted learning across the country. This was after the TSC entered into a CBA with teacher unions which was subjected to 4 phases of implementation.
However, the TSC CEO'S service is subject to reapointntment in the body as per the constitution but only under contract performance satisfactory. That is after the government reviews her performance, she may be reappointed. Something that may annoy teachers as through their unions, they are alleged to have fell out with her.
This means that, then Nancy is still the TSC boss and is yet eligible to appointment. Also, Dr. Mulunda's viral reappointment is fake and should be discarded by the members of public.
