The president of Kenya, Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, yesterday issued a directive for all learning institutions across all ladders in the educations realms to re-open in accordance with the academic calendars issued by the Ministry of Education.
According to the academic calendars released by the MoE, Pre-primary, Primary and Secondary Schools shall reopen for their 2020 academic year third term on 10th March 2021 and close on 16th July 2021 (10 weeks). Term one of the 2021 academic calendar shall commence on 26th July 2021 and end on the 1st day of October 2021. Term Two will start on the 11th day of October 2021 and end on 23rd December 2021. Term 3 will commence on January 3rd 2022 and end on 4th March 2022
2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams in conjuction Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examinitations are stipulated to be undertaken as from March 2022.
KCPE exams will commence on the 7th day of March 2022 and end on 10th March 2022, lasting for a 4-day period. KCSE exams will start on 11th March 2022 and end on the 1st day of April 2022, lasting for 3 weeks.
KCSE exams marking will commense on the 4th day of April 2022 and end on 22nd April, 2022, lasting for a 3-week period.
