Knut SG Mr Wilson Sossion Faces Ouster as New Team Gets More Backings

The teachers union Knut has been going through turmoils. These, the union has claimed that have been brought about by the employer. For sometime now,the teachers alienated to Knut have been in the cold during promotions and salary increments. This is because they are considered to be in the old scheme of service instead of the new CPG Scheme of Service.

The union has lost most of the teachers to the rival union Kuppet. However, the primary school teachers who left Knut have been left unionless since Kuppet only registers the secondary school teachers and above. The union had closed most of its branch offices due to lack of funds to support these offices.

Knut had successfully completed its branch elections. The National elections are coming in June during the National Delegates Conference. However, the Outgoing National Chairman Collins Oyuu together with his team Change counterparts have vowed to oust Mr Sossion. As reported by The Standard Newspaper, the Rift valley delegates unanimously voted to support Mr Collins Oyuu for the Secretary General Position.Out of the 25 delegates,21 voted in favour of Mr Collins Henry Oyuu to replace Mr Wilson Sossion.

Mr Stanley Mutai,a strong critic of Mr Sossion hails from this region. In the team change,he has been lined up for the First Vice Chairman's Position.Mr Karinga is set to be the Knut Chairman with Mr Hesbon Otieno retaining his position as the Deputy Secretary General.Seemingly, the coming elections will not be a walk in the park for Mr Sossion.
