Speaking at Kamukunji today, Raila Odinga has promised to clear out the impending student loans burdening the students at the moment. This was a proposal that was part of the Building Bridges initiative manifestos which was to give student a grace period of up to eight years once they graduate to start paying their loans.
The national treasury announced the other day that students were owing the government billions of shillings. Embakasi East member of parliament Babu Owino has also been campaigning for the cancellation of the student loans and Odinga seems to have caught the wind.
Odinga yesterday 12 October held a meeting with youths all-over the country wooing them to support his Azimio la Umoja initiative which he believes is what the country needs at the moment. Odinga received warm welcome at Kamukunji ahead of his 2022 general elections campaigns.
