The University of Nairobi Vice Chancellor Stephen Kiama decided to increase free for the module two students who are yet to join the institution.
Students pursuing medicine at UoN will now. Pay Sh3.8 million for the five-year course, up from Sh2.35 million. Bachelor of law increased from Ksh715000 to 1020000 and engineering courses will average Sh2.1 million from about Sh1 million.
This directive has today even made some of the comrades to go for a riot demanding things to go back to normal. 9 Comrades were arrested during the riot and later released.They were also joined with medical practioners during the demonstration.
Despite this, Babu Owino, former UON comrade and Sony chairman has vowed that he will continue fighting for the decrease in the fee till the end. Babu Owino over the past years has helped Comrades on matters such as HELB disbursement and this is a good news to Comrades because he may solve the issue.
