Students in tertiary institutions receive good news from the Higher Education Loans Board. A good number of our students in tertiary institutions, that is universities, colleges and polytechnics benefit from HELB loans.
The Higher Education Loans Board officer Mr Badru has now officially announced learners who are willing to get HELB loans will start making applications as from 01/07/2021. He further said that launching of the HELB loans will be done on 25/06/2021.
Mr Badru said that the duration between 25/06/2021 - 01/07/2021 will cater for verification of new documents, also guiding new applicants on how to apply for the loan.
First time applicants are therefore advised to have a KCSE result slip, an Identity card, the Kenya Revenue Authority pin, two guarantors, a bank account, if one is an orphan is required to have death certificates.
Interested applicants are therefore advised to search for the required documents in time to avoid getting late. Remember application for HELB loans is made online through the HELB portal.
