Bad News To University Students Over HELB Funds

University students have been dealt a blow from HELB offices. Especially those who are joining first year as from October. They are supposed to get HELB funds, something which has been left to God's mercies.

According to the HELB CEO Ringera, the board is struggling to raise funds for all students who are in universities. Kenya admitted over 128,000 students to the university. At the same time, 198,000 students were admitted to middle level colleges. The swell in numbers has hit the commission unaware.

The CEO confessed that the earliest they can receive the funds is by October this year. He was not sure of October however he said things shall work out.

The continuing students will have to wait until November to receive the funds. This will enable them continue with studies smoothly. Before then, they have to try their best and find alternative sources of funding.

We wish them all the best in there studies. Thanks
