As the saying goes, education is the key to success. To cement this saying, the government of Kenya through the ministry of education made basic education 'free for all'. This would make sure every child gets his/her right to education.
After completing primary education in class eight, students sit for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examinations. The exams transits them to secondary schools. At this point, the parent is tasked with the duty to pay fees for boarding or lunch.
The secondary fees most of the time are too much for a majority of parents to manage. This failure usually shutters their children's dreams of being who they wished to be. Most students completely fail to proceed with their education or end up in schools they didn't aspire to join even after posting very good results.
Wings to Fly came as a resuscitator to this dying dream. The educational scholarship offered by the foundation has given hope to bright and needy students, the likes of Abiud Kipkurui. Abiud after scoring 430 marks in the KCPE 2020 exams was failing to join his dream school Kapsabet Boys High School, due to lack of fees. Today, he is all smiling after Equity bank offered him a scholarship under the Wings to Fly Foundation.
Long-life sponsors of Wings to Fly, we salute you for brightening up the humble family.
