The ministry of education led by professor George Magoha now faces a legal action. The LSK president Nelson Havi went to court and filed a suit to challenge the competency based curriculum (CBC). This is after public outcry on the challenges of implementing it. This is something to worry if the lawyer wins against the government Ashe has done in the past.
The high court has given Magoha 45 days to respond to the charges leveled by Havi. The ministry has not yet issued any statement concerning the call by tye judge. The country has invested a lot of money in trying to implement the education system. This is why according to some educational stakeholders they are likely to deploy top brains.
The government may seek the services of Fred Ngatia and James Orengo. The two have a consistency of winning big cases in the country. They however, charge very high fees for their services. The two if chosen will lead a team of lawyers to challenge Nelson Havi with his team. This will be another show of supremacy between the law society and the government.
In case the case nullifies the new curriculum ty government will put more pressure on the judiciary. The executive arm of government has been blaming the justice system of trying to sabotage it's operations. This will be another validation of their sabotage to the presidency.
