CBC: Govt Sets The Record Straight on Boarding Option in Junior Secondary

Competency Based Curriculum was introduced in the country by the government of president Uhuru Kenyatta to improve the form of education. In this form of education, learners are taught different learning areas and also taken through different assessments.

According to the source, new details have just emerged about junior secondary schools. As per the report shared by Daily Nation newspaper, it has been reported that, in the new form of education especially Junior Secondary there will be no boarding schools at all. Further, it has been confirmed that categorisation of schools like National School, County Schools like the 8.4.4 system will not be applicable in the junior secondary schools.

These are good news to all students and parents because most students will have a good time to stay with their parents at home after schools. Also this will reduce cases of unrest in different schools in the country which have been witnessed in the old form of education.

This just comes in after Cs George Magoha confirmed that CBC is here to stay and the government has constructed hundreds of classrooms. Further, 60,000 teachers will be trained to handle CBC learners in junior high schools.
