Young girls in Chepalungu Sub-County, Bomet County did not hide their happiness as they were filled with joy after a primary school teacher going by the name Mutai Kiprono Daniel decided to surprise them by going beyond school duties and provided them with free sanitary pads and other other necessities for them.
The primary teacher seemed to have been disturbed with how his locals especially young girls have been struggling to have sanitary pads whenever they need it. In his post on Facebook dated May 26, 2020 the classroom teacher is seen asking for donors who can help young girls from humble background in his area from using rags and paper as a substitute for sanitary pads.
It is viewed as a good move for Daniel Kiprono to show such concern to the less vulnerable in the society who have been going through a tough conditions when they reach their menstrual period, forcing some of the girls to miss school for a certain period while handling the situation.
The teacher stands as a good example for other Kenyans by taking such a good move and he also gives a challenge to us since it is believed that you do not have to be a rich person to give, but giving is determined by your heart.
