Ugandans are mourning the death of Prof. Christine Dranzoa, 55 years old, the vice-chancellor of Muni University in Arua, Uganda.
According to the sources, Prof. Christine succumbed early on Tuesday 28th June around 3:30 am at the Mulago National Referral Hospital following a short illness.

Reportedly she has been in charge of Muni university since 2014 the only public institution in the West Nile region of Uganda.
At the time of her death, she was an advocate for the girl child education in Uganda.
She also served as the Executive Committee Chairperson of the Inter-University Council of East Africa (IUCEA).
A section of Ugandan social media users has sent their tributes to the deceased showering her with praises for her lifetime achievement.
Many have described her as a simple, humble, and strong woman who kept her words. It's a huge blow to Uganda's education sector for losing such an icon.
