Good News to Private Universities as Government To Continue Placing Government Sponsored Students

The government through the ministry of education set up three levels of education namely; the primary, secondary and tertiary institutions. The universities in the country are classified into two categories as private and public. The private universities include Mt Kenya, Kabarak and Daystar.

It's good news to the private universities in Kenya after the ministry of education cabinet secretary Prof George Magoha has announced that the government will continue to place government sponsored students to the private universities.

Prof Magoha was responding to the remarks made by the principal secretary of higher education Ambassador Simon Nabukwesi that the government was planning to stop placing university students sponsored by the government to private universities.

In conclusion, the government has a special body called Kenya University and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) that is in charge of placing college and university students to pursue different diploma and degree courses different parts of the Kenya.
