officials from the ministry of education have delivered some good news to parents ahead of today's opening of schools. According to standard newspaper, principals and teachers have been Warned not to send any student home for school fees m instead, they have been told to negotiate a formula on how they will pay such kind of money as students remain in class. Head of schools have also been reminded to fix their school fees account and make sure that all parents who paid excess school fees are either refunded or the money is carried forward.
Principals who will not obey those directives are warned of severe punishment if discovered. Term two will last for eleven weeks, running from today till 23rd December of this year where students will break for a holiday before resuming for third term. The ministry has gone further to warn teachers from charging any extra money which is not in a circular that was sent to them. That move has been termed illegal and will be dealt with accordingly if found doing such thing.
The ministry under the leadership of professor Magoha is currently fighting to implement Competent based teaching plan that is causing Chaos in the country after parents complained of doing a lot of work instead of teachers taking charge of the studies. The case is currently in court awaiting determination by Judges.
