Following the independent Electrol and Boundaries Commission push for leaders to have at least a degree as the requirements for political position, leaders have expressed their concerns in different ways leading to questioning about the academic background and qualifications of the former prime minister Rail Odinga.
Nominated member of parliament hon. Ole Sankok has expressed his worry concerning Raila's qualifications claiming that his education background is not known since no one has ever claimed to have schooled together with Raila either in primary school, secondary school, or even at the university, adding that there are only rumors that he schooled together with Obasanjo from Nigeria, which is a difficult thing to find him for clarification.
He further claimed that no one knows what course he deeds but there is little information that he did engineering, citing that it could be a welding course which people are now people are claiming to have done engineering.
All this was as a result of the academic regulations wondering if Raila will make it to the ballot if degree qualifications will be the determining factor and therefore said that as UDA they want to compete with a worthy opponent, who is Raila Odinga and therefore they don't want to miss that chance because of the set ground to vie for political position.
