As soon as the KCPE students finished their final exam, the KCSE begun their exam too. This is now the third week and surprisingly some candidates are through with their exams . The exams are expected to be over by 19th this month. So far no exam multipractice has been identified. We hope all will be well till the end.
Kenya National Examination Council,KNEC, has said that teachers need to prepare for the marking. But it's so sad because teachers have said that them going to Nairobi are endangering themselves during this corona period. Besides, they are demanding for the increase in the earnings per script should raised that from ksh.52 to ksh.200.
The teachers have also added that the government should pay for their transports to Nairobi. If this is not so, they have decided that they are not going to show up during marking. So, KNEC has to sort out everything before the marking begins. If not so, will TSC hire new teachers to perform the task? Let's hope for the best during this pandemic.
