Parents allover who had children in grade six were a little confused since they did not know the fate of their children. It was not yet clear if junior secondary would be in secondary or primary school.
President William Ruto created a task force that would come up with recommendations on how the CBC curriculum would be implemented. The task force came up with some recommendations one in which solves a lot of questions concerning the fate of the grade six candidates who sat for their exams from Monday.
In an announcement on Thursday, Ruto said the Grade 6 KPSEA exam will not be used for Junior Secondary School placement, instead it would be used to ammend any shortcomings of the curriculum.
H also added that more classrooms will be built in primary schools and also laboratories to ensure junior secondary students are catered for that is to mean the junior secondary will be retained in primary schools. Also more teachers will be employed to cater for the demand of grade seven.
