The KCPE 2020 results release has been accompanied by echoes of silence, unlike in the previous years where the results were accompanied by joy and dances.
CS Magoha in his statement while analysing the marking of KCPE he said it will have a "human face"The KPSA have now come to a conclusion that the human face was ment for public schools candidates whom the Covid 19 pandemic had deprived valuable instructional time.
When the C's Magoha was responding to parents he said that the marking would take in the account the challenges many candidates went through last year.
The investigations of pre and post marking events have revealed that there was unfair standardization which produced abdomal marks among the bottom candidates and the top candidates.
After abnormalities were noticed, it has been realized that the private school candidates marks were allegedly chopped down by between 48 to 60marks as compared to public schools marks which were chopped down by between 19 and 25 marks.
The reasons of this unfair treatment of the private schools Pupils is yet to be established and if these allegations turns to be the truth, then this would be the most unethical act committed by the government.
