Just today, about six schools have been razed down in fires whose source cannot be explained but in some cases, it's the students doing and the reason for this is unclear.

According to MUUGA FM on the 7PM News Bulletin, it was reported that Maua Girls High School was on fire earlier today.

It was reported that an electrical fault had led to the fire that did not burn that long at one of the dormitories in the school.

The fire was able to be put out in time before it could spread to the other buildings in the institution.

The school has not released a statement yet but no student was injured in the fire that happened today afternoon.

According to MUUGA FM from the County of Meru, the fire did not destroy a lot of property in the school.
