Some Kenyans have recently chastised the government for developing the CBC curriculum, claiming it is a hardship on parents. Teachers were also chastised for assigning chores to students that they were expected to do with the assistance of their parents.
The CBC includes technical activities in which students participate in both academic and non-academic activities. The students participate in field work such as house construction, preaching, and other technical activities.
Children in other industrialized countries, such as China and Japan, attend school to study technological and intellectual subjects. In terms of technical activities, these countries have performed admirably. Kenyan parents should embrace the CBC curriculum for their children's future benefit.
Because graduates in this field find jobs readily, CBC will assist learners to become productive in the future. The government is investing a lot of effort into curriculum development. Every new thing must face implementation difficulties. Kenyans should be prepared for the curriculum and willing to play their part for these reasons.
