Fikirini Jacobs was born and raised in Bamba village, Kilifi County at the Coastal region of Kenya and belongs to the Giriama community, one of the Mijikenda tribal grouping in the region.
He is one of the strongest Campus student leaders in the country who always stood up with their decisions despite intimidation from the University Administrations and this is what brought him into the Kenyan limelight.
Fikirini has been the Secretary General in Student Organization of Masai Mara University (SOMMU) in the year 2017, where he was sent home after engaging other students in a serious unrest that paralyzed most activities within the institution and the neighbouring community.
The Student leader later joined Pwani University located in Kilifi County, his place of birth. This is where he was again elected as the Pwani University Students Association (PUSA) chair in 2019 due to his strong fights for students' rights. He always believed in standing in the comrades gap regardless of the circumstance.
Mr Jacobs again led the students in protests after what he termed as fee increament by the administration without consulting the Students Body. This led to him being expelled from the institution after he was found guilty.
This penned down his name in the history books as one of the first University student leader to be expelled from two public universities.
The furious leader was among the two Senatorial contestants in Kilifi County under the ODM Party but after consensus,he stepped down for Stewart Madzayo, who made it in the past 9th August polls.
