Health COVID

Ministry of Education Might Be Forced To Do This In The Next Two Weeks If Covid 19 Infections Rises.

The government through the ministry of education has made it clear that the 10 May reopening of schools shall continue as was planned. Professor George Magoha while speaking on Monday 12 April 2020 in Kiambu was optimistic about the school reopening due to the decreasing number of Covid 19 infections in the country.

The figures from the ministry of health lights up an array of hope for learners, teachers and parents for school reopening. However,it is too early to celebrate as the declining cases have only been recorded in two consecutive days.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has shown that the health of the learners are of utmost priority and this has been seen by indefinite closure of schools in an event of upsurge of cases.

The coming two weeks will determine if the schools shall be reopened or not. If the country continues to register lower number of cases, then be sure of school resumption.

In an event the number increases, the ministry of education cannot risk the lives of thousands of students with school reopening. The ministry will be forced to push forward the school reopening dates.
