Blunder That Caused Two KCPE Pupils Drown In A Dam Ahead Of Exams.

Class eight Pupils of comejuu premier academy primary school in Githunguri kiambu county had finished their rehearsal ahead of Monday's Kenya certificate of primary education exams.

After the rehearsal, the pupils together with their teachers and their grade six counterparts decided to visit theta dam in a Field trip or a leisure activity as they wait for their Destiny shaping exams.

The headteacher David Paul Kangethe said that In total, sixty Pupils went for the tour of the dam near kinare Forest.

Blunder.

However while at the site, two boys who are aged 14 years walked very close to dam and In the process they slipped and fell inside.

Police officers from kiganjo police station are working jointly with their counterparts from Mindoro police post and detectives from Gatundu in a search operation which is ongoing from yesterday.

"The operation kicked off after the boys slipped into Theta Dam at around 4:30 pm on Friday," police said.The search mission has resumed this morning", said Police.

It's always advisable not to walk very close to a water body during an excursion because of the obvious danger.

Besides, some water bodies are are infested with reptiles that can harm tourists.
