Getting quality Education in Kenya is slowly becoming very much unbearable. Many Kenyans are in a state of despair with some having no hope of completing their education.University Education is becoming very expensive. It is very sad to imagine that a student struggles to get C+ and fail to go to the university just because of lack of funds.
Recently, Education CS Professor George Magoha engaged in some war of words with the University of Nairobi's Vice Chancellor Professor Kiama. This is after the VC suddenly increased the university fees without further considerations from the relevant bodies.Students demonstrated but nothing changed.During the First year students' admissions, the parents were shocked too to find the fees increased in the same institution.
It is not yet over for such rogue Vice Chancellors who have ended up increasing the university fees without clear guidelines.CS Magoha is seeking powers from the lawmakers to control the university fees.If this goes through, then it will be a great reprieve for university students and even the parents. This is revealed in the newspaper below
