As the Teachers head for the December holiday, their employer, the Teachers Service Commission have today delivered an important circular to them that will take effect as at today 1st December 2021.
In the notice that have been shared to media station, all teachers will from today apply for leave online, replacing the usual manual way. This is in line with the commission's strategy to go fully digital by the year 2030. The new changes will apply even to those employed on internship basis. Those already on the leave will not be disadvantaged with this new innovation.
Those who intend to apply will visit the commission's official website www.tsc.go.ke and follow the entire procedure. Those with challenges have been encouraged to contact the ICT field officers dispatched across the country.
This is coming barely one month after the teachers employer directed all the tutors to fill the wealth declaration form in line with government policy. This new innovation will reduce time wasted when filling the manual leave forms.
