Dormitory of a Popular Boys High School in Meru Burns Down This Evening

On Monday, schools across the country reopened for third term. This is after they were closed for one week holiday.

After reopening, we have just received bad news that one school has burnt down just three days after reopening.

According to the source, Meru Daily News, Ndagene Boys High School dormitory has today evening burnt down. The fire has destroyed a lot of properties which belongs to 77 students.

The cause of this fire has not been yet revealed but no casualties was reported on that incident.

The incident was confirmed by school principal who said that they managed to put off the fire with the help of firefighters from the county government of Meru and the students

"The fire has been contained and there is no cause for alarm, all students are safe," said the principal

This is the second school to burn down this term after Musa Nyandusi Kegati burnt yesterday morning. This year third term is expected to end in December 23, 2022. This is after the school calendar was affected by coronavirus from the year 2020.
