Kenyan teachers are set to meet with their employer, TSC, to discuss on a possible pay rise this week. According to reports, the KNUT Secretary General Collins Oyuu said the meeting is going to be held in Naivasha. Other issues affecting teachers are also planned for the meeting.
The meeting is scheduled to start on Tuesday evening and end on Friday. Mr Oyuu said they are going to review the 2021 CBA which did not give the teachers a pay rise as it was expected. The CBA only managed to increase the maternity period of female teachers from 90 to 120 days.
