The former Nairobi governor adopted Gift Osinya when they were left alone after terrorists attacked a church in Likoni, Mombasa, where they lost their mother together with other worshippers.
Gift Osinya sat for her KCPE 4 years ago, Mike Sonko revealed, where he scored 399 marks and then proceeded to Lenana School in Nairobi for his secondary education level. And in the Kenya's Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams that were done early this year, Gift Osinya again managed to score B minus (B-), a grade the former governor has said that is very impressive.
Sonko has further thanked God for the "miracle" of impressive results by their son who has made them proud. He said that though they expected a clean A, Osinya has managed to secure a chance in a public university where he will pursue his preferred course.
