According to News Hitting the airwaves this evening two students have reportedly died after drowning in a kangema river.
According to Victor Kinuthia Inooro Tv Correspondent from Murang'a the two young men were swimming at the iyego River in Kangema when the tragedy occurred.
Reports indicate that the search for their bodies is still under way with rescuers working round the clock with the help of some locals.
Sadly, this is not the first time that students have died while swimming in some rivers around the country.
Just two months ago, students belonging to zetech University in Ruiru died after they went swimming in a nearby dam.
Many have been cautioned to avoid flooded rivers as they pose a great risk.
Just a month ago over 30 people lost their lives after a bus belonging to St Joseph's Seminary Mwingi plunged into the river.
On this particular incident kenyans across the internet have expressed their deepest condolences to the families of the two young men.
