Bad News to Parents as PS Kipsang makes Sudden U-turn on Boarding School starting January 2023

Parents will be required to send their primary school children to day schools, according to New Basic Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang's announcement.

The radical policy's overall result is that students transferring to junior secondary schools will enroll in day schools in their local communities.

"We must find a way to be with our children, and day schooling is the only option. Day schooling will be the route the government is going in for the first nine years of education, or Grades 1 through 9, according to Kipsang.

According to Kipsang, parents have the primary role of being their children's first educators by accompanying them on walks and ensuring that they instill the proper ideals. We only co-parent with teachers, but as parents, "we cannot outsource our responsibility. We cannot outsource parenting from the instructors," Kipsang stated.

The only way we will be able to interact with our children moving forward is through day schools, according to the statement. In his capacity as President William Ruto's representative at the 18th Kenya Primary School Heads Association (KEPSHA) official opening ceremony, Kipsang made the revelations.
