For a very long period of time,the teachers who had interest in being teachers in primary schools did not have rough time in securing these chances.Not so many people had interest in teaching.Today,the slots have become hard to get as there are very many applicants who need these chances.This will still be so due to the recent salaries awarded to the teachers by their employer.

The government is changing the education system from the 8.4.4 to 2.6.3.3.3 sytem.This will see the secondary students stay in schools for six years as opposed to the current 4 years.The system has been hailed as better than the outgoing one which is considered to be examinations oriented.This 8.4.4 system has been seen to be wasting the students since they don't come out with any basic skills that can help them in their daily lives.

The CBC Taskforce has handed over its report to the President.A raft of changes with financial implications are set to be made.The government needs to heavily invest in the infrastructure.Some schools will have to be merged with others left to look for spaces in the primary school compounds.The TTCs are now offering Diploma in Education inline with CBC.The government has began putting things in order as it has released the least of only 41 TTCs that will be allowed to train teachers.It should be noted that there are many private TTCs within the country.The approved colleges are aasin the list below:
