"You are requested to accompany her back to school on January 25, to meet with the disciplinary committee. Pay Ksh10,550 to cater for the special meal for the whole school." This was the earlier demand from the school after the form one girls were caught serving special meal twice (mraundi).
This incident caused a major uproar among Kenyans who attacked the school's administration and asked them why they should send the girls home, and ask for ten thousand shillings.
According to the Standard digital news reports, the school principal has bowed to the pressure from Kenyans and parents with the decision of recalling the students back to school being agreed on.
The principal also stated that the decision was made when she was away from school, with the suspension already reversed.
"This was a mistake, but it happened when I was away but I take responsibility for it being the head of school.
I called the parents and apologized to them for the turn of events and they are comfortable bringing their daughters back to school." The school principal apologised.
Was this the best decision?
