Magoha Issues Tough Directive To Headteachers Over Registration of 2022 National Examinations.

Registration for the 2022 national examinations and assessment which began on April 27 will end on May 14, 2022.

The Ministry of Education released guidelines for registration of Grade Six pupils for Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA), Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams.

Education CS, George Magoha, has ordered headteachers to register Grade 6, Standard 8, and Form Four candidates for their national examinations within one week.

Magoha cited laxity in the registration process that kicked off in April 2022.

School heads are required to ensure that all registered candidates are genuine pupils and students of their respective schools, failure to which the school risks de-registration.

The national examinations are scheduled to take place between November and December this year.

Ministry of Education has been working round the clock to ensure a smooth transition to the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and to lay the foundation for the next government after the August 9 polls.
