Scholarships to KCPE Students Who Scored 280 Marks & Above; How To Apply For The Scholarships

The government of Kenya has shared some encouraging information with the disadvantaged and at-risk students from all over the country who participated in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations that were just finished and made public.

The Kenyan government, through the Ministry of Education, has announced that it is prepared to offer scholarships to students who scored 280 marks or higher on the Examinations that were released by the Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu. These scholarships will be provided in partnership with Equity Group and the Jomo Kenyatta Foundation.

Group of students eligible to apply.

1) A student who took the examinations needed a qualifying disability, such as albinism or vision impairment, for example.

2. Either they are orphans, or both of their biological parents have to be living with a disability.

NB Parents who are unable to work struggle to satisfy their financial obligations.

3. It is an additional point in the individual's favour if they come from a family impacted by a chronic illness such as HIV/AIDS.

4. The individual must demonstrate beyond a reasonable doubt that they come from a family severely impacted by poverty.

Students who are interested in receiving a scholarship and who fulfil all of the requirements mentioned above should go to the Equity Bank branch that is located closest to them to fill out the necessary paperwork.

They also have the option of going to the office of the Director of Education in the Sub County to make their request.

Students from refugee camps who have managed to obtain 240 points or higher on the scale for girls and 250 points or higher for boys will also be considered.
