Education has been defined as the total process of developing human abilities and behaviour. It has also been termed as a continuous process which has no end but it is limited in oneself as a result of death.
Due to the emergence of Covid-19 in Kenya last year March, schools starting from primary schools, secondary and tertilly institutions of learning were closed down untimely to allow the government to have ease in curbing the virus.
The school calender that had existed before was disrupted and exams were also postponed to this year hence the whole academic year was disrupted and this contributed to the restructuring of the academic calender.
Due to the reduced terms as an effort to restore the normal calender as soon as possible, the amount of fees parents will pay as by the ministry of education was also reduced as follows.
Those who study national and extra-county schools in Nairobi, Thika, Kisumu and Mombasa will pay Ksh 45, 000 while those outside these areas will pay Ksh 35, 000. Students who learn in special needs schools will pay Ksh 10, 860 and lastly students who are in sub-county schools will pay money for lunch incase their schools decides the same.
