COVID-19 Update: 605 Test Positive, 587 Recover as Total Rises to 23,202
The Ministry of Health has today confirmed that 605 people have tested positive for the deadly coronavirus over the last 24 hours.
This figure now brings the total caseload in the country in regards to the infection to 23,202. Samples tested in the last 24 hours are 4547.
In regards to the total cumulative numbers of samples tested, the Ministry of Health indicated that 322,923 samples have been tested so far ever since the first case was reported in the country.
In regards to gender distribution, the Ministry of Health confirmed that in today's positive cases, 401 were male while 204 were female.
In terms of age distribution, the Ministry of Health also confirmed that the youngest patient to contract the deadly virus was aged 2 months old while the oldest was 99 years old.
On a more positive note the Ministry of Health indicated that 587 people had been discharged from various hospitals after undergoing successful treatment.
This figure now puts the total tally of recoveries since the first case of the virus was reported in the country to 9327.
On a more sad note, the Ministry of Health indicated that people had succumbed to the terrible virus over the last 24 hours. This now brings the total tally of fatalities to .
Kenyans however were urged to observe the containment measures that have been put forward by the MOH in a bid to curb the spread of the deadly virus.
The Ministry of Health also raised concern in regards to the number of deaths among the youth.
