KUCCPS, short for Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, is a government body that is primarily mandated to ensure 100% transition of KCSE candidates to Colleges, Universities, TVETs, among other institutions of higher learning. The placement body recently concluded the placement process and the results are expected to be out any time soon.
To check their results, candidates will be required to log in to their respective student's portal using their index numbers, and birth certificate numbers as their initial passwords. Thereafter, the placement results will be displayed on the dashboard, showing the institution and the programme to which the student will have been called up for. Moreover, the results will also be sent personally to the student's or guardian’s initial registered phone number and email.
After receiving the placement results, the candidates will be required to visit the website of the university in which they will be placed to download their application letters and to also receive further instructions on fulfilling complete intake requirements. This will also enlighten them on entities about their universities. The release of the results also opens up the intra-institutional transfer window.
That aside, candidates that are above 18 years of age can also take another step and apply for HELB loans. However, this is not compulsory as it is done on one’s own consent. The requirements for this are a National Identity card, a KRA pin and other legal documents, among others.
In the event that you do not receive your placement results, you are to contact the placement body through their various communication portals.
