Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports, And The Arts Ababu Namwamba will be the chief guest at the finals of a tournament organised by Homabay county governor Gladys Wanga.

The announcement was made by the governor after she chaired the first cabinet meeting of the year where her cabinet commended her for the tournament that began in December 2022 and will be finalised on the 14th Of January 2023.
The tournament dubbed Genowa began from ward levels and the finals will be played at the Homabay High school situated in Homabay town which is the headquarters of the county. It is aimed at nurturing talents among Youths with participants from different parts of the county getting a platform to display their talent.
"In the Line with intension to narture and expose among the youths in the county, the meeting commended the ongoing Genowa Governor's Cup whose final will be held on 13th and 14th January 2023 at the Homabay High school in an event that will be graced by the cabinet Secretary Incharge of Youths Affairs, Sports and The Arts Hon. The attendance of the Cabinet Secretary is a good news to Homabay Youths especially those who will be participating in the finals as they will be able to show their talents before the man in charge of the Sports. Some could end up being lucky to be recognised by the cabinet Secretary who may end up uplifting them.
The cabinet Secretary has always maintained that he is out to narture talents of the youths from all parts of the country.
