President William Ruto has been given a proposal to suspend the rollout of the competence based curriculum (CBC) that has been ongoing for a number of years now with the first batch of students expected to join junior secondary school (JSS) next year.
According to the proposal that has been made to president William Ruto by former nominated member of the national assembly and Kenya national union of teachers (KNUT) secretary general Wilson Sossion, the CBC curriculum should be halted for at least six months to one year to give stakeholders enough time to reflect on its implementation.
Sossion says that the presidential working party on curriculum reforms should be bold enough and tell president William Ruto the truth even as he exonerated former ministry of education cabinet secretary Amina Mohamed from any blame.

He says Amina was bold enough to tell the government the truth before being humiliated and hounded out of office by those who were opposed to the truth.
