Tragedy in Belgut, Kericho county.
A 21-year-old student is being traced by police for allegedly killing his 18-year-old schoolmate.
According to reports; the two, who are form three students at Keben high school, were in an altercation this Wednesday in the morning at around 0545hrs before the matter took a shocking turn.
According to witnesses, classmates, the two victims were quarreling over class text books but with time they turned aggressive and started to fight against each other.
Unfortunately, one of the female student died on the spot during the fight after being stabbed by the other student on her stomach.
Afterwards, the other student escaped to an hideout after noticing what she did.
Currently, Directorate of Criminal investigations together with Kericho police officers have launched a manhunt for the proprietor.
On the other side, learning activities at Keben high school has been paralyzed since morning after the irate students stormed out of the school, demanding justice for the slain student.
