Do you really know what next after the kuccps placement results are released? I guess some don't, and this is where we miss the step , due to lack of knowledge and guidance, then come later to do the necessary things late in a rush. But this is not an offense, actually the article is meant for the stranded 2020 candidates and act as a guide.
Immediately after the university application results are out, then do these things to avoid confusion and incomplete work in September while reporting to campus.
Firstly apply for Helb loan if you are unable to raise your school fees and pocket money independently. It's a board that is given the task of giving support funds to students from humble backgrounds, inorder to cater for studies. At the moment the portal is open for subsequent application, so as a first timer, you need to go to the student portal by installing the app or using a browser, fill the necessary details ( name , email and identity card number) then download the forms. After that fill the spaces, get a KRA pin , guarantors and signs. When you're done, organize the documents and submit to the nearest huduma center. Remember you must have a registered account number from an authorized bank for loan disbursement.
Secondly incase you are called to do a course/ institution that's not your choice, then there's another option to do Interfaculty/ university transfer. Done through writing a letter to the concerned departments , give valid reasons and seek for transfer to another area or school. May take quite some time, so visit the institutions in person for faster response.
Lastly, do shopping as early as possible just as a way of preparing in time. Includes clothes, shoes, suitcases, cutleries, stationeries, beddings and the allowed electronics ( laptops).
Thus doing all these will give a easy and relaxed moment to travel to campus peacefully.
Share this to your fellow comrades and have a nice stay in school.
