Babu Owino is one of the well known students leaders who studied in the University of Nairobi and for now he is a Member Of Parliament. Despite the fact that he left studies and took part in matters concerning politics, Babu Owino still intervenes when there is a problem affecting university students. Today, there was a video of a young lady who was crying in the university premises and basically she was so heartbroken. According to the video, the university management refused to admit her child since she had not cleared fees arrears as stated in the admission later. The parents around complained saying that the school management has hiked fees for students and it has been so difficult for them since they had not prepared at all. Babu Owino had to chip in and help the parents. Speaking through his Facebook page, Babu said that fee increment is illegal and no parent or student should allow that. He said that fee increment only favors children from rich families and this means that poor families will lack education. He asked president Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene and help parents since the situation is unbearable for them.
