Teachers in both public and private institutions have only three days left to file crucial data with teachers service commission.
According to standard digital platform,teachers service commission chief executive officer Nancy Macharia had asked all registered teachers teaching in both private and public schools to update their profiles.
The deadline lapses on Wednesday next week which means that teachers have few days left to complete the exercise.
Teachers service commission chief executive officer Nancy Macharia further added that the exercise is crucial,as it involves making reference to provisions of the constitution and teachers service commission act that mandates it to keep all teachers register.
Teachers service commission is in charge of maintaining the register of all teachers and issue them with a certificate of registration.
Macharia further added that the registration of teachers is a mandate accorded to teachers service commission through article 237 of the constitution.
Teachers service commission chief executive officer Nancy Macharia said that the biometric registration is about getting teachers bio data,which will help the commission to know if the teacher has gone back to school to get additional education.
