Several hours prior to taking her mathematics exam for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) in 2022 a pregnant candidate delivered her speech.
The new mother chose to take the math exam from her hospital bed according to Maringe, who also confirmed that her condition was stable.
He disclosed that plans had been made to transport all of her exam materials to the hospital throughout the exam time.
The two-hour mathematics exam was due to start at 8:30 a.m. per the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) calendar.
She will write her English Section B-Composition in the afternoon starting at 2 p.m. after taking her English Language exam between 11:30 a.m. and 1:40 p.m.
On Tuesday and Wednesday the new mother will take her science, social studies, religious and kiswahili Lugha and Insha exams.
At least 332 prospective students will take the KCPE and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) exams according to a report from the Ministry of Education.
