LIST & 5 Beautiful PHOTOS Of Famous Secondary School Dormitories Recently Razed down by Fire

The problem of students setting down their school dormitories on fire has become a great threat to the ministry of education. Records indicate that atleast two schools are burnt in every week. Among the schools that have suffered this are the following:

1. Kakamega High School

Kakamega High School is a national secondary school located in Western, Kakamega county. The school was founded in the year 1932. Currently, it's headed by Gerald Orina who is the school principal.

The school suffered a fire accident on 6th November 2021 after their dormitory that hosts over 500 students was brought down by flame. Following the accident, the school suffered a loss of KSh 21.6 million.

2. Buruburu Girls High School

Buruburu Girls High School is an extra county girls boarding secondary school located in Makadara Constituency, Nairobi County. The school was started in the year 1986 as a mixed Day school with two streams. It is currently headed by Mrs Caroline Maina, the school principal.

Buruburu girls hit news headline last month after their school dormitory caught fire. Teachers and other students had to set up mattresses at the base of the building meant to cushion the fall of some students who were encouraged to to jump from the tall storey building onto the pile of mattresses to escape from the dormitory which had been engulfed in smoke.

Other secondary schools that have suffered fire accident include:

1. Kevehe Girls High school.

2. Ringa Boys high school.

3. Nyamira Boys high school.

4.The Kirimara High School.

5. Kanjuri secondary school.

6. Kiarithaini high school.
