The Cabinet secretary in charge of the Ministry of Education CS George Magoha is one of the most educated professors in the country today.
CS George A. O. Magoha is the former Vice-Chancellor, University of Nairobi (UoN), a Professor of Surgery and Consultant Urologist, College of Health Sciences, University of Nairobi.
His family is highly educated too right from his wife who is as well a graduate from the University of Lagos graduating with a masters degree in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Professor George Magoha has got only one child which he is never ashamed of being proud of even in the media.
While in Nandi county unveiling an educational project by athlete Kemboi, the cabinet secretary noted that he used to sacrifice his time out of his busy schedules to make time for Michael.
Michael is an alumnus of the prestigious Strathmore and Brookhouse Schools. He is a graduate from the University of Nairobi’s School of Medicine in 2009 and returned to study neurosurgery in 2011.
Michael came into the limelight back in March 2018, after a surgery he had been involved in went wrong making him together with other medics get suspended for their alleged role in the botched process.
By then, CS George Magoha served as the chairman of the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board (KMPDB) and he was forced to quit the task force that was looking into the KNH blunder as a result of a conflict of interest brought about by the son.
