President Uhuru Kenyatta has formally appointed Jamleck Muturi as the new chairperson of teachers service commission (TSC).

In a gazette written on Thursday April 29 the president also appointed the current TSC lawyer Timon Oyucho as the commission's member.
On Wednesday, April 28, the national assembly approved the nomination of Oyucho and Muturi who will serve in their new roles 6 years.
Muturi who was the Embu county executive member committee in charge of agriculture holds a PhD in agriculture entomology from Kenyatta university.

In 2016, Muturi participated in Linnaeus-Palme teacher exchange program at the Swedish university of agricultural sciences, Uppsala.
Ask the TSC teacher he taught various schools including Moi high School mbiruri, St. Joseph's m’tetu secondary school and principal Kavutiri high boys school where he was the principal.
Oyucho has served as a TSC lawyer until his appointment. He led cases against Knut and was instrumental in neutralising the giant teachers union.
